Al Gore's campaign (the "we" site is named in these videos) spent a huge budge
on this campaign!!!! Just yesterday, I saw the Pelosi/Gingritch (sp?) 2-3x
plus the Robertson/Sharpton 2x.
If that doesn't convince people instead of Bush's obscene lies that there is no climate problem, I don't know what will. Who in their right mind really believes the planet is not in danger? I am dumbfounded by the blinders up mentality and that it is some liberal or fringe conspiracy about global warming. As I said, we are the stewards of our planet. If not us, who then? And if not clean energy, why bother? And maybe, just maybe, if we weren't oil reliant, terrorism wouldn't be as much of an issue because they'd lose us as customers and enemies. It's a win win all around. So I hope people will stop denying the problem.
Already I am looking at buying energy certificates. Things I didn't
know about. Someone very, very wealthy I know who has won awards for conservation initiatives and who has set aside thousands of acres of land he owns in trust, has set a plan with his kids/family with assigned goal to reduce
energy usage by 10% over prior year. He's not doing it to save $. He's doing it to make a difference. And it's emperical and measurable.
Look at past bills
(wattage/thermals whatever they call them and make sure same month this
year is 10% lower. Pretty neat huh? :)))) My family is in for same mission. Find every way possible: unplug appliances when not in use, computer off, cold water wash, etc., etc. :) NOW I hope I can reduce my score after all I smugly thought I was doing. Talk about a wake up call!
