Initial Report of the 2020 Summit
The Initial Report of the 2020 Summit sets out the key results of
discussion by 1000 Australians over the weekend of 19/20 April.

A service centre for 0-5 year-olds
Kevin Rudd's proposal for Australia in 2020 is to create universal,
high quality, affordable Parent and Child Centres for all 0-5 year old
children to provide real, practical assistance to working families.

A national FuelWatch scheme
The establishment of Australia’s first National FuelWatch Scheme will

Australia and China have stressed the great importance they attached to

I think the childcare centers should also be centers where you can leave your oldie for the day. All we working women who have small children and aging parents to care for could drop Junior to one end and Ma or Pa off to the other end, where they could have medical assistance, therapies as required, social activities etc. Then no one has to worry about a fragile oldie being home alone for the day... and interaction between the two sections would be good for all.
